Installation requirements and specifications for embedded parts

1、 Preparation before construction

Drawing verification and technical disclosure

Before construction, it is necessary to carefully check the design drawings, confirm the specifications, quantity, location, elevation, and installation direction of the embedded parts, and avoid errors and omissions.

Provide technical briefing to construction personnel, clarify installation processes, quality standards, and safety precautions.

material inspection

When pre embedded parts (such as steel plates, anchor bars, bolts, etc.) enter the site, they need to check the product certificate and inspection report, and conduct a visual inspection (without rust, deformation, cracks, etc.).

For key components such as anchor bars, mechanical performance retesting (such as pull-out testing) must be conducted according to specifications to confirm compliance with design requirements.

surveying and setting out

Use tools such as total station and level to accurately lay out the lines, determine the positioning axis and elevation control line of the embedded parts, and mark them properly.

Complex structures or multi story buildings require confirmation of positional accuracy by passing reference lines layer by layer.

2、 Installation process requirements

1. Fixed method of embedded parts

Direct binding and fixation: Suitable for reinforced concrete structures, the pre embedded anchor bars are firmly tied or welded to the main steel bars to avoid displacement during concrete pouring.

Formwork fixing: Fix the embedded parts on the template by bolts or welding, confirm the accurate position, and pay attention to the rigidity and stability of the template.

Post embedded parts (chemical anchor bolts/expansion bolts): If the pre embedded parts are missing or need to be added later, chemical anchor bolts or expansion bolts need to be used for fixing, but pull-out tests need to be conducted to verify the bearing capacity, and post embedded parts should not be used for the main reinforcement parts of the structure under stress.

2. Installation accuracy control

Position deviation:

Elevation deviation: ≤± 10mm;

Center position deviation: ≤± 20mm (for smooth surface embedded parts) or ≤± 10mm (for embedded parts with connection requirements).

Flatness and verticality: The surface of the embedded parts should be level with the concrete surface, with a flatness deviation of ≤ 3mm; the embedded bolts should be perpendicular to the installation surface, with a verticality deviation of ≤ 1%.

3. Welding and anchor bar requirements

The welding of anchor bars and anchor plates should use perforated plug welding or fillet welding. The height and length of the weld seam should meet the design requirements, and the weld seam should be full, free of defects such as slag inclusion and porosity.

Anchor bars are strictly prohibited from being directly welded onto the main structural bars. They must be connected through additional steel bars to avoid affecting the stress on the main bars.

Exposed metal embedded parts need to undergo anti-corrosion treatment (based on actual reports) (such as painting with anti rust paint, fireproof (based on actual reports) coatings, etc.), in accordance with design and specification requirements.

4. Concrete pouring coordination

Before pouring concrete, it is necessary to check the position and fixing status of the embedded parts again, and adjust them in a timely manner if there is any displacement.

When pouring concrete, avoid direct contact between the vibrating rod and the embedded parts to prevent displacement or deformation.

During the pouring process, assign a dedicated person to track and monitor, and immediately stop work if any problems are found.

3、 Quality acceptance standards

VISUAL INSPECTION

The surface of the embedded parts is free of honeycomb, rough surface, and cracks, and the anti-corrosion layer (based on actual reports) is intact.

The bolts, anchor bars, etc. are not loose or deformed, and the exposed length meets the design requirements.

Mechanical performance testing

For embedded parts with requirements for important structures or designs, pull-out tests must be conducted, and the number of tests shall be selected according to the specifications (such as 3% and not less than 3 pieces of the same type of embedded parts per batch).

The test results must meet the design bearing capacity requirements and have no significant deformation or slip.

Acceptance of concealed works

After the installation of embedded parts is completed, concealed engineering acceptance shall be carried out before concrete pouring. The acceptance record shall be filled out and signed for confirmation, including:

Specification, quantity, and location of embedded parts;

Fixed method and welding quality;

Anti corrosion (based on actual reports) treatment status, etc.
