role

Support and fixation: By connecting insulators and wires, the high-voltage wires are overhead fixed, so that the phase and neutral wires have a certain insulation distance in the middle of the distance and on the pole, confirming the stability and safety of the line.

Insulation isolation: Cooperate with insulators to achieve electrical insulation between wires and towers, prevent current from passing through towers and causing leakage or short circuit accidents, and protect the performance of power transmission.

Load bearing: To bear the weight, wind pressure, and tension of the conductor, it is necessary to have sufficient mechanical strength to resist various loads generated by natural environmental factors and power transmission processes, in order to avoid power accidents caused by cross arm breakage.

Installation and maintenance

Installation position: Generally, the high-voltage cross arm is installed 300mm away from the top of the pole. For special circumstances, such as in some areas where top support clamps need to be installed at the top of the pole to support the B-phase high-voltage line, the installation position of the top cross arm is required to be 40 centimeters away from the top of the pole; The cross arm on the top of a bridge in the southern region needs to have the upper plane of the door iron level with the tip of the pole.

Installation direction: The straight cross arm should be installed on the power receiving side, and the cross arms of the corner pole, terminal pole, and branch pole should be installed on the cable side to confirm that the cross arm can remain stable under stress and facilitate identification of the power supply side during maintenance and repair.

Maintenance points: Regularly inspect the high-voltage cross arm to check for any deformation, cracks, rust, etc., whether the insulator is damaged or discharged, and whether the connecting bolts are loose. For problems discovered, they should be dealt with in a timely manner, such as replacing damaged crossarms and insulators, tightening loose bolts, etc., to protect the performance and good operation of high-voltage crossarms.
